Share with Others

Learn how to share your DocuChat chatbots with others through team collaboration and private links.

You can share your chatbot by clicking the share icon in the chatbot dashboard. This opens the sharing settings panel where you can configure various sharing options.

Questions asked by external users through shared links will count towards your organization's monthly question credits. Make sure to set appropriate question limits if needed to manage your credit usage.

Share with Team

When you enable team sharing, the chatbot becomes accessible to members of your organization. While administrators always have full access and collaboration capabilities on all chatbots by default, regular members (who are typically end users) can only see and interact with chatbots where team sharing has been explicitly enabled.

This sharing option is particularly useful when organizations want to put a chatbot behind proper authentication, as members must sign into their DocuChat account to access these shared chatbots.

Share with Link

Generate a private link to share your chatbot with anyone:

  • Recipients can access the chatbot without logging in
  • Link can be shared via email, messaging, etc.
  • Ideal for sharing with external users and clients
Anyone with the private link can access your chatbot without authentication. However, we disable search engine indexing for these pages and generate cryptographically secure random URLs that are not easily guessable, helping maintain security through obscurity.
