Limits
Understand the page processing and cloud storage limits in DocuChat to effectively manage your document usage and ensure optimal chatbot performance.
Batch Upload Limit
- Audio & Video Size: Audio and video files must be under 25 MB each. For longer videos, we recommend converting them to audio format first to stay within the size limit while maintaining content quality.
- Batch Upload: You can upload documents in batches of up to 50 MB at a time. This is not a total storage limit - you can upload as many documents as you want, just split them into multiple batches under 50 MB each to ensure reliable uploads.
- Website Link Extraction: When scraping websites with the "Include all webpages linked from these websites" feature enabled, we limit each batch to 250 linked pages. You can process additional linked pages by running multiple batches.
Page Processing Limits
In DocuChat, there's a limit to the number of pages you can process each month. This limit is determined by your subscription plan.
Here is how page processing works:
- Each document you upload is processed into pages.
- A page is defined as 3,000 characters.
- Your page usage is tracked and reset at the start of each billing cycle.
- You can monitor your usage in your dashboard settings under "Plan & Usage" to ensure you stay within your plan's limits.
Cloud Storage Limits
There is a fair usage limit for the total file size of documents you can store within your account. This includes all supported document types:
- Free Trial: 1GB
- Other Plans: 2GB
This is a soft limit - DocuChat is very flexible regarding cloud storage. If you run out of space, don't worry! Contact our support team and we'll be happy to help you out.
